These new trade routes took in much of the eastern Mediterranean, including Cyprus, Rhodes, the Cyclades, mainland Greece, Crete, the Libyan coast, and Egypt (28) but Phoenician sailors were also known to have traveled to Britain and to Mesopotamian ports.
