Answers of type (a) and (b) would seem to be clearly irrelevant to the analysis of action on principle, and I shall just assume, for the time being, that there is no sense in thinking that having the principle Everybody plight to do A in C is a matter of wishing that everybody did A in C for the sake of the consequence of such action.
