Some monomers, such as styrene and acrylamide may not be soluble in the particular polyol used as the polymerization medium alone but when incorporated into the polyol in combination with various other monomers such as acrylic acid, and acrylic esters, the monomers can be dissolved in the system as a whole due to the presence of the other monomers.
