  • The calculus Obama uses to choose his cabinet baffles me a bit, and he did let McCain have more of a say than I would have allowed had I been in his place. ( And I say that as one who admires McCain in spite of his bombastic ways.) Like Lincoln, Obama is a man of his times who adjusts as he learns, and he sees further down the road than the rest of us.
