  • by spongman (182339) writes: do not pay extra for asynchronous mirroring. it is only useful for distant DR scenarios where c is a factor. if you are trying to do cheap fail-over, use synhcronous mirroring on standard edition with a decent network connection (cross-over 1GB works great). it is cheaper and safer.
