  • One of the places i was in was eilat - at some point, i managed to get into a discussion with what was effectively the mayor of eilot - apparently, every year he holds a contest that has a prize going to the individual or organization who increases tourism to his town the most (eilot is a port town on the red sea, it is economy is tourism based).
