  • The author???s point about teachers who are too busy teaching to the standardized tests to teach critical thought is well taken.But stupefaction is something handed down from generation to generation, and if there is such a thing as a teacher who, him or herself, can think critically, they are not likely to choose teaching as a profession ??? not in the USA, at least.
