  • The U.S. helped the Philippines and other Asian countries gain their freedom in WWII, so I suppose we should not expect too much from them including the compensation of the Filipino veterans, although it would be great if they were to be compensated.the us helped but no really, the filipinos were waging guerilla warfare and the japanese only had control over the cities and not the countryside.
