Accordingly, what is needed and heretofore unavailable is a device which facilitates atraumatic navigation of intravascular guide catheters along the tortuous passageways of a patient's vasculature which minimizes or eliminates the problems associated with tip separation and is sufficiently stable in order to increase control during navigation.
