Minor symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis of the face may not respond as well and may require the addition of low-potency topical corticosteroids for control.1Systemic agents that are used in severe cases are ketoconazole, terbinafine, itraconazole, and fluconazole.18,19 These agents provide relief when the disorder is refractory to topical treatment or when compliance is an issue.
