The Brichard et al U.S. Pat. No. '560 discloses a process utilizing a dry powdered mixture of a combustible or exothermic component, preferably one or metals, such as aluminum or silicon, added to powdered refractory materials which are fused or partially melted and blown onto the surface of the oven to be repaired, preferably utilizing a stream of pure oxygen.
