Keynesian academics and policy makers have adjusted prior theories and models, and established new ones, but the problem is that even those models do not really address the policies being used today - the vast expansion of credit combined with sustained deficit spending resulting in an ever higher proportion of debt held by the public, including foreign governments and corporations.
