  • I think, perversely that OOXML shows the checks and balances ARE in place, since as long as there is a thriving standards community, there are going to be competitors pitched against each other, with horse trading between them, plus the uninterested parties (hopefully) making rational decisions after reading between the lines of the pugilists' agendas.
