A process for protecting marble, stone, tiles, cement, gypsum, or wood and other analogous materials utilized in particular in the building industry from the deteriorating action of atmospheric agents and pollutants, by applying onto said materials a protective agent comprising a microemulsion of perfluoropolyethers containing functionalized groups and, optionally, peroxide bridges in the chain.
