The collection, which was to be used for the appreciation of literature, grew to include unique recording of dozens of poets and writers including Tennessee Williams, W.H. Auden, Robinson Jeffers, Marianne Moore, Archibald MacLeish, Theodore Roethke, Muriel Rukyser, and Robert Lowell and is in continuous use by students and researchers.
